| Neil Evans | I always try and choose carefully when buying a game and as long as games have good playability, longevity and acceptable graphics I will be a happy boy! Well wimbledon 2008 does have all 3 to an extent. First of all the graphics are very good for a phone game. The playability takes time to get used to, but thankfully because of the career mode, it lets you gently adapt before your career ranking gets high enough for you to play in the harder, more prestigious tournaments. This brings me onto the game itself. The core of the game is the career mode and you can play season after season on pretty much all the atp tour events as well as the grand slams, building up various sections of your game through training sessions and are rewarded with performances in the tournaments with further skill advancements. You can play doubles or singles and of course play just wimbledon itself. So the longevity of the game is vast. Overall its really worth purchasing if you are into tennis and/or all sports games (even if you're not, you can gamble with this one!). |
